Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill in Dubai

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill takes the brand’s classic Churchill and reshapes it into a Robusto, keeping the same Cuban filler, binder, and wrapper while cutting the smoking time down. Habanos S.A. created it alongside a Petit Churchill and Wide Churchill, and the Short is the one cigar reviewers keep coming back to. See the full Romeo y Julieta range if you want to compare it against the original Churchill or the brand’s other sizes.

Cigar Aficionado has scored different batches from the high 80s into the low 90s over the years, which is a strong, consistent result for a cigar at this price point. Browse our premium cigars category for the rest of the Cuban lineup.

What Does Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill Taste Like?

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill delivers a medium-strength smoke with notes that shift by batch: ripe apple and toffee some years, dried fruit and honey others, toasted almond and chocolate in others still. The common thread is a rich, balanced profile with an even burn and a lush draw.

If you already know you like the flavor direction of the standard Romeo y Julieta Churchill, the Short version gives you the same character in a shorter session.

How to Enjoy Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill

Cut just above the cap with a sharp guillotine, then light evenly around the whole foot before your first draw. The draw is typically lush and even on well-kept stock, so avoid over-lighting, which can flatten the early notes.

Store it in a humidor at 65-70% relative humidity beforehand, and give a freshly acquired box a short rest if you have the patience, since Cuban Robustos often smooth out after a couple of weeks in your own humidity.
