Cohiba Behike 56 is the widest of the three Behike vitolas, built around medio tiempo, a filler leaf taken from the very top two leaves of the tobacco plant that no other regular-production Cuban cigar uses. It’s hand-rolled at Havana’s historic El Laguito factory, known internally as the Laguito No. 6. See the full Cohiba range if you want to compare Behike against the brand’s Siglo and Robustos lines.
Production runs in limited quantities each year, so availability moves around depending on the release. Browse our premium cigars category for the rest of the Cuban lineup while stock lasts.
What Makes Cohiba Behike 56 Different from Other Cohibas?
Cohiba Behike 56 is the only regular-production Cuban cigar built with a fourth filler leaf called medio tiempo, taken from the top of the plant where very few leaves grow. That extra leaf gives it a fuller, more intense character than Cohiba’s Siglo or Robustos lines, which use the standard three-leaf filler blend.
Expect notes of leather, spice, walnut, and coffee, with a toasty, grassy character that develops as the smoke progresses. If you want a similarly premium Cohiba without the medio tiempo leaf, Cohiba Siglo VI is worth comparing, or look at Montecristo if you want to compare across Habanos’ flagship brands.

How to Store and Enjoy Cohiba Behike 56
Store Cohiba Behike 56 in a properly humidified humidor at around 65-70% relative humidity, since a cigar at this price and rarity deserves proper care before you smoke it. Given the roughly 60-minute smoke time, set aside real time rather than rushing it.
Cut it with a sharp guillotine or V-cutter just above the cap, and light it evenly around the foot before drawing slowly. The flavor builds and shifts as it burns down, so pacing matters more here than with a shorter cigar.

How long does Cohiba Behike 56 take to smoke? Around 60 minutes, given its 6.5-inch length and 56 ring gauge, so it’s meant for a proper sit-down session rather than a quick break.
How should I store Cohiba Behike 56? In a humidor kept at roughly 65-70% relative humidity, away from temperature swings, to protect both the wrapper and the flavor.
